Doug Friesen joined Centra Claims Management Inc. as a Partner and Manager of the Property Division. Doug has 37 years of claims experience in the insurance industry.
Doug began his career as an insurance adjuster at Manitoba Mennonite Mutual in Steinbach, Manitoba. Following that Doug worked as a senior adjuster for Halifax/ING (now known as Intact Insurance). In 2000, Doug joined the independent adjusting firm of Leonard French & Co. Ltd. as a senior adjuster, becoming a partner and owner two years later. In 2006 Leonard French & Co. Ltd. was sold to SCM ClaimsPro, where Doug remained as a senior adjuster until joining Centra Claims Management Inc. in 2013.
Doug holds his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. Doug is also a member of the Insurance Institute of Canada, Insurance Institute of Manitoba, The Canadian Association of Fire Investigation, and a past member of the Claims Manager Association.
